A year or two ago I recall seeing a news blurb about Mindy McCready being in trouble for prescription drug abuse. Then I saw she had been beaten by her boyfriend...... Later I saw she had tried to commit suicide and I just thought "What The Hell Is Going On?". She was a rising country star, drop dead gorgeous and had everything going for her.

She recently appeared on Oprah (November 3rd) and I wish I would've seen it. There is a partial transcript that will give you an outline of their conversation:

I see she has a song coming out called "Black and Blue" that apparently deals with her abuse:

But at the same time, she has done a song with the boyfriend William McKnight called "Sweeter". This seems strange since he was charged with attempted murder, after leaving her gurgling in her own blood.

Oh, did I mention.... after the attack she became pregnant with his child???????? This would make one heck of a movie if she ever tells the whole story.
